Atrial flutter is similar to atrial fibrillation in that your atria beat extremely fast, but in atrial flutter your atria beat in a more organized manner. People with atrial flutter may not experience symptoms like people with atrial fibrillation do.

To treat atrial flutter, your doctor may perform an electrical cardioversion or catheter ablation to reset the pace of your atria.
